Classical Baby

Classical Baby 3-Pack - Music, Art & DanceClassical Baby: The Poetry ShowClassical Baby: The Music Show

I had my first baby five years ago, I found that when I needed to get stuff done she always wanted see me. I tried putting her in the swing and turning on all kinds of music from classical, kid to regular radio music but nothing worked. She would just cry for me the entire time. I turned to putting her swing in front of the TV, but I found that there was nothing really for her to watch that would keep her attention or wasn't filled with stuff over her little baby head. Until I turned on HBO and found this awesome baby video, Classical Baby, there are 3 different videos Music, Art & Dance. It has music ranging from classical to jazz and ragtime, and animation that allows modern artwork to spin and encourages cute little frogs to hop right into a Monet canvas. This was the only thing that would keep her attention, keep her quiet and even fall asleep on her own. It is so adorable that I turned it into our nighttime routine of watching one of the videos while I danced around with her until she fell asleep. This not only gave me awesome bonding time with my little girl but allowed me to get in some much needed exercise.
When I had my second baby I wasn't sure she would have the same reaction, as my girls seem to have a totally different temperament and personality, until the other night when my 6 month old was really upset about something and I couldn't get her to go to sleep,  I turned on Classical Baby (recorded to my DVR) she was quiet instantly, enamored by the music and adorable dancing animals, I started dancing with her and she was asleep within 5 minutes.

I have to say, I have spent money on the Baby Einstein videos and not only was I completely bored watching it, but my daughter had no interest at all. That was a total waste of money. Even though I am able to record Classical baby onto my DVR I bought this entire set for back up just in case we go on vacation.

This is a must have in our home!

This sounds like something I need to try! My daughter fusses a lot if I'm not paying attention to her so of course it's difficult to get things done around the house. She likes the bright lights of the tv, but finding something that can hold her attention is difficult. This sounds like it could work for her!

Aww how sweet! I will definitely have this on hand whenever I have a baby! I've never really been around babies more than a few minutes a few times in my life, so whenever I become pregnant, I will have no clue what to do! I'll be taking your advice on this for sure! xoxo

Isn't that the truth? My nephew will not watch the baby Einstein videos for more than a few minutes, because he gets bored. What he does love to do is dance his hiney off! I think the jazz/ragtime will really be perfect for him, as well as the dance video. Thanks so much for your review, without it, I wouldn't have heard of these videos!
