Wordless Wednesday: Our Little Garden

My 6 year old has been desperately wanting a garden for a long time now. I decided that this was the year we would grow some flowers. I was so excited to find this really inexpensive kids planting kit that I took her and we go her very first garden. Everything came in the package that you need (except for the water of course).

Day 1, garden started.
Day 4, three of the flowers have sprouted! What an exciting day for my little girl. She was running through the house singing about it.

More pictures to come as our little garden grows!

I am so glad you did this. I want to do this with my grandsons to teach them about gardening. I am having a garden outside but I want them to have a "garden of their own" to take care of. What a wonderful idea. This will teach them to take care of the earth and how to be green.

Love this!! My kids love gardening and and this would be a great thing for them to have sole responsibility for taking care of something. So neat

Very cute. I know how excited *I* get when my seeds begin to sprout so I can only imagine how exciting it must be for a little kid lol
I wish my kitty had not ate all my sprouts though! Bad kitty! Will need to be putting stuff straight in the garden I guess.
